Catapult's Paratriathlon Camp provides hands-on instructions of the basics of paratriathlon through interactive drills and lectures in a safe, accessible environment. It is designed and led by top-tier USA Paratriathlon coaches and assisted by experienced para-athletes. This camp, outside the city of Houston, Texas, is geared towards athletes with all levels of experience in triathlon. It will lead first-timers into the sport, and challenge event the most experienced paratriathletes with programming from Team USA Paratriathlon coaches. Two days of training will come together in a mock triathlon challenge on the camp’s final day!
Camp provides skills for athletes with physical disabilities in the mobility impaired, visually impaired, and wheelchair competition categories. These include, but are not limited to: amputation, spinal cord injury, visual impairment, traumatic brain injury, and muscle impairment.
In addition to general volunteers, we’re seeking guides for the weekend as well. Guides are individuals with moderate triathlon experience who will be assigned an athlete for the duration of camp to assist at drills and through our mock triathlon.
All attendees must be available for the full duration of camp: afternoon of November 11th through afternoon of November 14th.
